Memes. Memes are magic.
Memes are probably one of my primary love languages.
I don't like emojis much, but a good solid meme - be it a GIF (that's with a HARD G) or an image macro - can be worth it's weight in gold!
In fact, I'll be putting together a course one of these days on using memes in marketing because memes are so freakin' viral.
But in the meme-time, creating memes can range from stupidly easy to utterly complex, particularly if you want to string together a bunch of video clips into something like this:
Doing that USED to take HOURS of time - downloading each clip, loading them into a splicing program like Camtasia, editing them down, rendering them, then re-uploading them.
Then along came KAPWING, and I'm in love!
Seriously, the first half of that video above was made in about 8 minutes on KAPWING.com, and other than a few buffering problems it was a very smooth process that I'll probably begin to incorporate into what I do on a regular basis both to advertize my own company, and also to advertise for my clients.
There are a number of different programs out there, like IMGURL and IMGFLIP Which can greatly speed up the process of making image macros, but they are not nearly as successful when it comes to producing video memes, and especially if you want to edit together a number of different clips.
In the above video, the effect was done for the purpose of the comedic, the idea is that people love to watch fail videos and so if you can like him not using your product to a particularly painful kind of feel, then simply use some funny and engaging visual imagery to drive home the other fail that comes from not using your product.
Of course, you could use KAPWING for a whole host of other possible uses, including editing together best-of highlight reels. But I think it was a shines when it comes to being able to quickly enter a series of different YouTube your elves and have it immediately pull the video, let you I like just the snippet you want, and then immediately put that into a file that when you're done will create for you. Very smooth, very fast, and very seamless.
Of course it'll also help you create image macros and GIFS, which are pretty great!
Particularly handy is a wide assortment of pre-generated memes, generally things that are trending right now which makes it even easier to get in front of Trends and use them to leverage and Market your business or your clients. Here's an example showing some of the most recent viral memes that are being created using Kapwing and it's readily apparent that there are a wide variety of amazing templates that could make for some really great image fodder that would probably have a very wide-ranging reach on a site like Instagram.
